Winry's m thoughts on getting more direct involvement in the shit Ed gets up to! Like the invite to travel with him and the whole save Gregor business.

SHE IS FUCKIN. OVER THE FUCKIN MOON. OBVS. Which is balancing out with all the other horse shit here so that she's like 24/7 slightly confused by reality, but OK? let's?? roll with this? She's a little bit in a holding pattern of acting like shit is kinda normal, because it's all SO UN NORMAL that she has no idea where to even start with behaving.

Basically she has missed Ed and Al every fucking day for years. YEARS. and she knows why they had to leave her behind, and she knows that they had to keep secrets from her, and she would be strong enough to deal with that because that's what he needed from her but holy shit she really didn't like it.

So here where it's NOT about Alchemy (and is about being overwhelmed and over your head and bewildered by culture and tech shock daily), there's just no way he could pry her off, and she would in fact fight him if he tried. She's passing it off as comfortable and natural but in fact she really, really needs something familiar around so ED IT IS.

AS FAR AS THE BATTLE ITSELF THAT WAS PRETTY HORRIBLE \o/ AND SHE WILL ABSOLUTELY LOOK INTO HOW TO PROTECT HERSELF BETTER, but she DOES have a good head for emergencies, and she's not going to be squeamish about injuries. I think she will be more hughes-like in letting trauma roll off her, rather than the Ed/Roy style of bottling it up- so as for the actual Being In Danger part that almost doesn't phase her.

She's trying hard not to think about them leaving again since- well, Winry loves family stability. But she loves and draws stability from Ed too, and he's the more familiar of the two by far. But saving the poor cave dudes is a worthwhile goal, and not one she'd talk him out of. So what she really wants (stay with Dendarii, have structure, familiarity, stability) will take backseat to Help Ed With Important Goal. BECAUSE LKE FUCK WOULD SHE NOT HELP HIM.
